WALKING to the nearby Broadbeach Bowls Club was enjoyable for former club president David Peron, but the experience left him breathless and as time went on he found that he had to stop and rest on the way.
Although he was only 58, David found that his inability to keep up with the demands of even moderate exercise was limiting what he could do to enjoy his retirement.

David said that he had more energy and he felt that his ability to exercise had increased, then he noticed that he no longer needed to stop and rest when he walked to the bowls club.
This improvement in stamina had allowed him to do more exercise, which had improved his physical condition further.
